Platforms Project 2017

The Platforms Project 2017 will be presented at the Cultural Centre (Charilaou Trikoupi Str. 121, 114 73 Athens) and will run from 20-25 May 2017, including a rich program of lectures, videos and performances by the participating platforms.

The project is directed by Artemis Potamianou and Michalis Argyrou. The artistic director of the Platforms Project 2017 is Artemis Potamianou.

The Platforms Project will be presented for fifth consecutive year, aiming to map the artwork as it is produced within the frame of artists group initiatives, in order to find together solutions to fine arts questions creating the so-called platforms.

The platforms are artists groups, which create a project together, action or thematic exhibition, also independent artist run spaces, aiming to showcase art, as well as artists’ actions, suggesting a real or digital space in order to highlight culture from all over the world.

The Platforms Project 2017 invites the visitors to see platforms, which have honoured the program in the past years, but also platforms, which are presented for the first time in Greece.

41 platforms will present their work from 17 countries (Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Germany, United Kingdom, Cyprus, Austria, Netherlands, France, Norway, Sweden, Finland, USA, Canada, Panama, Iran, Italy), and more than 650 artists.
